The Women in Surgery conference aims to inspire women to pursue surgery by tackling the gender imbalances in the field demonstrated by the fact that only 14.7% of all UK consultant surgeons are women.

As part of the conference, every year we have a Speed Mentoring Circuit, where we give students the unique, invaluable opportunity to talk to surgeons from a diverse range of specialties and gain insight into what it is like to pursue a surgical career. During this time, you will become mentors for the day while answering questions and giving advice to aspiring surgeons.

We intend to hold this workshop at the University College London Campus on Sunday, 26th November 2023. There will be two sessions – each running for an hour and both will take place during the afternoon session between 1:30pm – 3:30pm.

We would be extremely grateful if you would be able to participate in either one or even both sessions!
